NATIONAL COMPETITION JURY

A filmmaker and writer whose works include Santa Liberdade (2004), Liste, Pronounced Lister (2007) and White Scar (2012), she invites us on a journey through the 20th century based on utopia as an experience, on war and on the bodies of migrant women workers. She won the Film and Audiovisual National Galician Culture Award ‘08 and is a co-author, along with Ramiro Ledo and Pablo Cayuela, of Galicia,1936-2001. Estudos sobre o filme de Carlos Velo. She is also a member of the cooperative NUMAX and a Professor of Audiovisual Communication at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Of particular note among her works about documentary film are From Kino-Eye to Dogme 95 and Photographers’ Cinema. She is a self-proclaimed feminist and cultural agitator.
