A wordless account of the history of French colonisation in Indochina and the relationship between two antagonistic societies forced to live side by side. With no dialogue and with the sole help of music and images taken from various propaganda films and archive footage, Cambodian filmmaker Rithy Panh continues to revisit his country's recent history and, by association, that of many other nations which lived through similar situations.
