Continuing with the decentralising trend promoted by Madrid City Council and DocumentaMadrid, this year we’re stepping up our efforts to take the festival programme into the city’s neighbourhoods and districts. We firmly believe in boosting and encouraging the dissemination of documentary film throughout Madrid’s network of cultural centres and public spaces, thereby providing all the city residents a wide and varied supply of films. For this activity, we’ve designed a programme featuring some of the full-length films in our competition sections dealing with a broad range of aesthetics and issues. The films will undoubtedly spark open and fruitful debate between audiences and the film directors who will be joining us for some of the sessions.
