When protest fails, what’s left?
A hypnotic and unsettling blend of archival footage and music, Then Then Then offers a stark glimpse into the moral struggles of a generation coming to terms with its own inability to affect social change. Lesser-known acts of protest spotlight dissenters' turn to more radicalized acts of protest against those in power and the machinery designed to stifle their opposition.
This meditation on civil disobedience is a timely reminder of the lengths some have gone to in order to have their voices heard.

Director's Biography

A video professional with almost 20 years of experience, Daniel's first film is a culmination of several of his passions: documentary film, social justice and a deep dive into the history/politics of the 60's and 70's. As a true independent, this labour of love was created over the past year and a half, worked on over late nights and weekends, and fully self-funded.
Previously, Daniel organized and curated a Montreal documentary film club, REEL ACTIVISM, that doubled as fundraiser for a grassroots organization designed to support and empower the city's at-risk LGBTQ youth community. This experience inspired Daniel to work on this first film - an homage to Marker, Alvarez, de Antonio - with hopes to inspire the growing number of disenfranchised whose voices need to be heard.
