EN TRANSITO (IN TRANSIT) deals with the realities faced by thousands of Latin American mothers who travel to Europe alone in search of financial stability, and the consequences of the long-distance transnational relationship they establish with their sons and daughters. These are extreme situations which aren’t discussed or known about and will have significant repercussions throughout their lives.

Through the conversation that takes place between these immigrant women and their children, EN TRANSITO (IN TRANSIT) shows us how day-to-day life as a migrant is experienced here, and what conditions are like for those who stay there. A coded exchange where the message sometimes doesn’t get through, is lost, or transformed, and it is vital to know the two realities in order to decipher it.

Passionate, heartrending stories, nonetheless marked by an air of hope for the future.

Director's Biography

Oskar Tejedor (1968) is an independent filmmaker and screenwriter. CUIDADORES (2011) was awarded at Worldfest Houston and at Seminci.
COMPAÑERAS DE VIAJE, selected at the International Congress of emigration, is an example of his interest in social issues.
"BALENCIAGA, PERMANECER EN LO EFÍMERO" was the most watched documentary at 2009 AVRO-Holland.
Oskar Tejedor has regularly collaborated with several local and international audiovisual companies
After completing his engineering studies in Holland and specialising in industrial design in Paris, he decided to shift his career focus to arts and cinema: He studied Visual Arts in Lille, Film Directing and Screenwriting in Paris and Direction of Actors in Madrid. He has also coordinated co-production forums and he actively collaborates as a consultant and mentor with audiovisual projects.
