Lost in a world of grown-ups and trapped in her routine, Memi is torn between the glamour of the beauty pageant and her family’s pressure to become the queen of the carnival.

Director's Biography

Manuel Abramovich was born in Buenos Aires in 1987. He studied Cinematography at ENERC and attended the Film Lab of the Universidad Di Tella. He works as a documentary director and cinematographer.
He has directed several short films. His work was selected at several festivals (IDFA, IndieLisboa, Documenta Madrid, Karlovy Vary, BAFICI, among others) and he´s currently completing his first documentary feature “Solèy”, selected at the IDFA Summer School 2012 and funded by INCAA. In 2012, he attended the Berlinale Talent Campus.
In 2013 he started developing a new project called “Salomón”, in which he won a visual arts scholarship at the FNA - Conti.
