Jessy is the short version of the documentary Jéssica Cristopherry! That was the name of all Paula Lice´s childhood characters. As an actress, playwright and woman, Paula counts on godmothers Carolina Vargas, Ginna d´Mascar, Mitta Lux, Queen Loulou and Valerie O´rarah to bring Jéssica to life and fulfill Paula´s wish of becoming a drag queen. Buh!Fu Films´ debut movie is a partnership among artists Rodrigo Luna, Ronei Jorge and Paula Lice, documenting Jéssica´s making and paying a loving tribute to Salvador´s drag scene. The film has resources of the government of the state of Bahia, through the “Edital de Deamanda Espontânea/2011”.

Director's Biography

PAULA LICE
Paula Lice is an actress, director, performer. He also writes for theater, film and TV. Integrates the collective of artists VAGAPARA. She has a master in Theories and Criticism of Literature and Culture, and is currently studying a doctoral course in Performing Arts Federal University of Bahia, where he studied topics taboo in children's theater. Founded in 2011, Small Room Ideas, a territory of creative collaboration that brings together the work that creates and produces other artists since 2009. RODRIGO LUNA
Rodrigo Luna was born in Salvador, capital of Bahia state, Brazil.'s Director, editor, screenwriter. Already made several music videos, documentaries, videodances and now short films. Has a band, “Capitão Cometo e os Formidáveis Ladrões de Parafina da Terra do Nunca Extreme” and would rather be playing video games instead of writing about him.

RONEI JORGE
Ronei Jorge graduated in Communication, Film and Video. He is a composer, musician, singer, born in Salvador, capital of Bahia. He has a band, “Ladrões de Bicicleta” and now, beyond this, is a composer and singer of “Os Veranistas” and has a duo with arranger and composer João Meirelles. Ronei is also co-author of trails theater (Amor Barato Fabio Espirito Santo, soundtrack with Jarbas Bittencourt and Miúda e o Guarda Chuva with Paula Lice and Victor Cayres with Luciano Simas), animation (Miúda e o Guarda Chuva with Paula Lice and Victor Cayres with Luciano Simas) Pinta (Feature Film Jorge Alencar and group Dimenti with Andrea Martins) and dance (Borboletas Paula Lice). Jessy is his debut as co-director in audio visual.
