This film is based on authentic emergency calls and radio traffic.

Director's Biography

Hannes Vartiainen (b.1980) has a background in film. Pekka Veikkolainen (b.1982) has worked in the fields of animation and illustration since 2000. The two started their own production company in 2008. Since then, they have produced and directed several short films: Hanasaari A (2009, 15 min), The Death of an Insect (2010, 7min), Gates of Life (2012, 6 min). They are launching their last project, Emergency Calls (2013, 15 min), in the Official Selection of DocumentaMadrid.
