DOCUMENTAMADRID 2017 Announces Call for Entries

The submission deadline is January 31st 2017

DOCUMENTAMADRID is now accepting entries for its fourteenth edition which will be held between May 4^th and 14^th, 2017.

Documentary films of any length can be submitted free of charge ONLY through the festival´s website from December 7^th, 2016 until January 31^st, 2017.

In its 14^th edition, DOCUMENTAMADRID will have NEW 4 competitive sections with a total of 6:

• International Feature Film and Short Film Competition.
• National Feature Film and Short Film Competition.
• Fugas Feature Film and Short Film Competition, open to the most innovative and creative filmmaking.

With a total of €45,000 in prizes and two new audience awards to support exhibition and distribution, DOCUMENTAMADRID aims to give as much support as possible to creators with a special focus on Spanish documentary filmmakers. DOCUMENTAMADRID also wants to become a unique space for the dialogue between the audience and the creators of the best contemporary non-fiction films.

For this new edition DOCUMENTAMADRID also wishes to open its doors to all those authors and film works that are redefining the aesthetic boundaries of cinema as well as to reach out to new audiences while maintaining its demanding and critical audience.
