FESTIVAL // AWARDS

The Juries, to be made up of professionals from the worlds of film, art, culture, and the public, who will participate by voting, will decide which of the films competing in all the Official Sections are to be granted the following official awards.

NATIONAL COMPETITION

NATIONAL SHORT FILMS
First prize of the jury, to be awarded 4.000 € and a trophy.
Second prize of the jury, to be awarded 3,000 € and a trophy.
Audience award, to be awarded 2.000 € and a diploma.
AVID award for Best Editing. To be awarded with Avid software.

NATIONAL FULL-LENGTH
First prize of the jury, to be awarded 8,000 € and a trophy.
Second prize of the jury, to be awarded 4,000 € and a trophy.
Audience award, to be awarded 2.000 € and a diploma.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILMS
First prize of the jury, to be awarded 5,000 € and a trophy.
Second prize of the jury, to be awarded 3,000 € and a trophy.
Honorable mention of the jury, to be awarded a diploma.
Audience award for best film, to be awarded 3.000 € and a diploma.

FULL-LENGTH DOCUMENTARIES
First prize of the jury, to be awarded 10,000 € and a trophy.
Second prize of the jury, to be awarded 5,000 € and a trophy.
Honorable mention of the jury, to be awarded a diploma.
Audience award for best film, to be awarded 3.000 € and a diploma.

ORIGINAL FULL-LENGTH
First prize of the jury, to be awarded 10,000 € and a trophy.
Second prize of the jury, to be awarded 5,000 € and a trophy.
Honorable mention of the jury, to be awarded a diploma.
Audience award for best film, to be awarded 3.000 € and a diploma.

FREAK DISTRIBUTION AWARD
Entails the managing of registration for, and shipping to, 50 international festivals to be selected by the Freak Agency according to the characteristics of the winning film. Any short films can compete for this award provided it is of Spanish (or majority Spanish) production and in competition at Documenta Madrid 2011.

 

The awards can be neither declared void nor given ex aequo.
The organization will be able to decide on other awards for extraordinary achievements.
There will be no right of appeal against the decision of the jury.
All the awards will be subject to the deductions and withholdings provided for by the law.
