This is the story of the battle for power in Mexico. A reflection on the state of the country through a portrait of the elections that took place in 2006, in which the PRD candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador, after leading the polls for four years and being officially defeated by half a percentage point, challenges the institutions by proclaiming himself the “legitimate president”. A confirmation that the struggle to take power brings out the most primitive in humankind, polarizes the citizens, and ends up backfiring to the sole benefit of those already occupying it.
