Three months prior to the revolution on January 25, 2011 in Egypt, Amal Ramsis walked alone through the streets of El Cairo with a hidden camera, far from the eyes of the police and taking up shelter with friends, who spoke to him about everything that is forbidden in Egyptian society: speaking, filming, writing and thinking. An account of what Egypt was like before the revolution, about what was implied by “forbidden”, a word that comes into play in an infinite number of aspects of daily life.
