Malegaon, a town in India, is fraught with tension and severe economic depression. To escape the harsh reality of their world, its people seek refuge in the fantastical world of cinema. This passion has spurred a group of cinema enthusiasts to make their own films – quirky, low budget spoofs. Their ambition has grown as they take on Superman. As the film begins to take shape, through schemes that are purely hysterical, we also discover Malegaon itself, as microcosm of India.
