CARLOS REVIRIEGO

Critic and journalist Carlos Reviriego studied Information Sciences in Pamplona and did a Masters in Professional Journalism at the Complutense University, while at the same time working in the cultural section of the ABC daily and collaborating on magazines specializing in film and literature. From September 1999 to January 2007, he directed the film section of El Cultural for El Mundo newspaper. Under the direction of Carlos F. Heredero, he then joined as head writer in the creation of the Spanish version of the legendary film analysis magazine Cahiers du cinéma, whose first issue came out in May 2007. He has produced and co-written the short film Mariposas en el estómago (2003, video), by David Martín Page, collaborated on the screenplay Limbo (2005, 35mm), by Miguel A. Pérez Prieto and produced the short video film El dolor y la delicia (2006), by Aline Casagrande. He has collaborated on such collective books as Los poetas del cine (Litoral, 2003), El universo de Hitchcock (Notorius Ediciones, 2006), Miradas para un nuevo milenio. Fragmentos para una historia futura del cine español (Alcine, 2006) and Cine español para el nuevo siglo. La mirada contemporánea (Thesaloniki, 2007).
