At the Monte Gordo Beach (Algarve, Portugal) and in the shadow of tourist apartment buildings, a small fishing community still persists. This film records the activity at the beach over the course of a year, from the lonely winter to the summertime Sundays full of beach umbrellas. Through the voices of those who live off the sea, we learn about the particular adaptation process that this last generation of Portuguese fishermen are undergoing.
