The esplanade near by the monastery, in San Lorenzo of El Escorial (Madrid), is an enormous and ascetic stone area crossed by lots of people every day. This film tells about this space and the people who cross it. Chance choreographies come about, born from the everyday. The overall intention is to find the extraordinary within the ordinary and to show the different ways the passers-by walk, such as what happens to people from small towns, who always walk in a straight light and follow the stone paths. The film seeks to be a reappraisal of the public space.
