This film shows the passing of time, of the seasons, of the elements that repeat every day, that are repeated in all prayers. It shows the faces. It is a very physical world: the slice of an apple, the food each one takes to his cell, tilled field… and suddenly the monks praying in the choir. Two things are very present in the “Grande Chartreuse”: the physical world, and the spiritual world.
