Awards

The Juries, and the public, who will participate through voting, will grant the following official awards from among all the films selected in the Official Competition Sections:

Original Documentary Section

Full-length Films

Jury First Prize, to be awarded 10.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Second Prize, to be awarded 5.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Honorable Mention, to be awarded a diploma.
Audience Award for Best Film, to be awarded 3.000 € and a diploma.

Short Films

Jury First Prize, to be awarded 5.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Second Prize, to be awarded 3.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Honorable Mention, to be awarded a diploma.
Audience Award for Best Film for best film, to be awarded 3.000 € and a diploma.

Documentary Reporting Competition

Jury First Prize, to be awarded 10.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Second Prize, to be awarded 5.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Honorable Mention, to be awarded a diploma.
Audience Award for best film, to be awarded 3.000 € and a diploma.

National Competition

Full-length Films

Jury First Prize, to be awarded 8.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Second Prize, to be awarded 4.000 € and a trophy.
Audience Award, to be awarded 2.000 € and a diploma.

Short Films

Jury First Prize,, to be awarded 4.000 € and a trophy.
Jury Second Prize, to be awarded 3.000 € and a trophy.
Audience Award, to be awarded 2.000 € and a diploma.
AVID Award for best editing. To be awarded Avid Xpress Pro software or equivalent.
AVID/HP Xpréssate Marathon
AVID/HP Award, to be awarded Avid Xpress Pro software or equivalent and an HP laptop computer (model yet to be determined).

The awards can neither be declared void nor be given ex aequo.
The organization may establish other special awards.
There will be no right of appeal against the decision of the jury.
The winners of official awards with a monetary prize must cede to the Festival, in writing, the physical possession of the Festival’s copy of the winning film. This does not imply any kind of cession of rights on it. Said copies will become part of the Festival’s archives and will not be shown without specific permission from its authors. The winners who participate with 35mm films will be able to take them back, should they so desire, after firstly providing the festival organization with a copy of the documentary on Betacam SP.
All awards will be subject to withholdings as established by current laws.
